Deni 6200 Commercial Ice Crusher Review

I originally rated this unit 4 stars, but unfortunately after getting two units that broke immediately, I would change this to no stars if I could.I bought this unit primarily to make crushed ice for tea and cocktails, and to make ice that fits easily into water bottles for biking and school use.It worked well for that application when it worked at all.The advertised settings for ice to make snowcones and slushies are non existent, which was a disappointment.It makes chunks of ice about 1/2 inch big, a few larger and a few smaller.The feet of the machine are little vacuum suckers, so the machine does not slide around during use.UPDATE:Unit worked fine with a minimum of jamming for about 10 days, and then the blades stopped turning.As per instructions, I let it sit to see if there was a piece of ice stuck, but to no avail.The motor buzzed, but nothing was moving in there.I returned it to Amazon for an exchange.I'll give it a second try, but if this unit fails, then I'll return it for a refund and try the Waring also listed on this site.UPDATE 2:The replacement arrived, and lasted through one tray of ice cubes.Again, the unit is jammed for no visible reason.Back it goes, and for a refund this time.Not recommended.

Breville Café Roma Espresso Machine - ESP8XL Review

All I can say is WOW! My teenage daughters and I love espresso & designer lattes, This machine made it a BREEZE for us to give up all the overpriced designer cafes in our area. My brother is a coffee snob and spent literally thousands on a fully automated Capresso machine. You could buy a couple dozen of these Breville machines for the price of his.. and you know what? It's a few seconds more work but the coffee is JUST AS GOOD!

One of my daughters is visually impaired and she can work the machine and clean it with no problems.

Assembly was easy, cleanup is easy, and making three different beverages in seconds is a breeze, too. We have three completely different tastes so we've managed quite a few different drinks. I make sugar free soy lattes using Soy Slender and sugar free DaVinci flavors. We've frothed skim, 2%, whole and soy milks of every type. Even heavy whipping cream and half & half froth perfectly.

The only issue we had was that one time we tamped the espresso a little too firmly and nothing would come out. If you tamp lightly, you'll have no problem at all and the crema is absolutely superb!

I DEFINATELY recommend this machine!!

Espressione 1377 Cafe Chic Cappuccino Maker, Anthracite Grey Review

I upgraded from a very cheap little steam-only machine with no pump, and the cafe chic certainly makes better espresso than that. The company claims that Cafe Chic is easy to clean, and they are telling the truth- the bad news is that as messy as this machine is, it has to be easy to clean or you'd never get to enjoy the products of your labors. As soon as I turn on the steam function, steam also comes out of the espresso maker, which has a very ineffective seal and leaks badly- I constantly have soggy coffegrounds all over everything. The steamer itself is nice, it does a good job in relatively little time, but it's in a very bad place. The steamer is off to the side, and very low, so it's difficult to get the steamed milk out without spillage. In the picture, the steamer actually looks usable, but the picture is NOT accurate- point in fact, the picture includes 2 espresso shot cups, which are not included. The espresso maker comes with a micro-filter that also has problems, your grounds don't drain, so the best of your espresso just sits there...Bottom line- it makes decent espresso, or as good as it can get while using a mere 15 bars of pressure, at an inexpensive price, but you get what you pay for. If you can, save up a little extra and go for something pricier- it'll be worth it. Wish I had...

DeLonghi BAR42 Pump-Driven Espresso Maker Review

A really nice espresso machine.I've used both pods and ground coffee, and this machine makes great espresso either way.I've owned several inexpensive machines, and finally decided to 'bite the bullet' and get a nice one, and I REALLY got a nice one.Although the instructions say you have to wait 1/2 hour for the unit to warm up, it usually doesn't take that long.I turn it on, and by the time I'm out of the shower it's ready.It won't really make a latte though - I suggest heat your milk, then froth it just a little.But it makes a really nice foamy cappuchino. I'm glad I got this - and heartily reccommend it to anyone who loves espresso, cappuchino or latte!

Rosle Capsule Tower Review

I ordered 2 of these (one as a gift) and both arrived quickly and in perfect condition.The base is solid and the tower turns freely.The pods are easy to hang and remove, and there are 4 individual slots inside the tower, each holding a full sleeve of 10 Nespresso pods.The stainless finish is elegant.Overall a quality product.

The one minor issue I have with the tower is that the tops of the pods face down and that is where the name is written.Some way to label each side might be nice.More a suggestion than an issue since the item doesn't state this as a feature.
